ROLE OF FONDATION GRAND PARADIS: Implementing body appointed by the Autonomous Region of Aosta Valley

The "Respiration Jeunesse" project aims to engage French and Italian youth in various educational and immersive experiences targeted at adolescents aged 12 to 15 from diverse social backgrounds. In this context, the Autonomous Region of Aosta Valley has identified Fondation Grand Paradis as the implementing body for activities in the Gran Paradiso area, scheduled during 2024. These actions include hosting French and Italian youth in Cogne, during January and February 2024, for several days, engaging them in mainly outdoor activities compatible with sustainable tourism in the Gran Paradiso National Park, involving mountain professionals; products from the Gran Paradiso Film Festival will also be highlighted and offered to participants.

The project aims to:

• create opportunities for youth groups particularly affected by the COVID-19 health emergency; • allow youth from Savoie, Haute-Savoie, and the Autonomous Region of Aosta Valley to experience a meaningful period together, reconnecting with the external environment beyond borders, through experimental cross-border mobility focused on mountains, sports, and their educational and civic values; • raise awareness among youth on significant mountain-related topics such as the growing role of digitalization and climate change, promoting active and informed citizenship, to enhance their awareness of professional and life opportunities in the ALCOTRA area.

For implementing the agreement, the Autonomous Region of Aosta Valley will pay Fondation Grand Paradis a maximum total amount of €70,000 (VAT included), as compensation for the service and collaboration activities performed.
