Via ferrata Casimiro

Thrills and adrenaline are within easy reach from Chanavey, in the sign of Casimiro Therisod, an Alpine guide from Valle d'Aosta originally from Rhêmes-Notre-Dame (1858-1921) remembered for having opened more than one hundred routes mainly in the Gran Paradiso massif. The via ferrata Casimiro offers the opportunity to experience technical and fun passages across the Tibetan bridge, the edge and the chamois path. The equipped route has some vertical sections, some exposed traverse passages and two suspension bridges. Some sections are quite challenging but can be tackled safely even by less experienced people, preferably accompanied by a specialist guide. The equipped section takes about 2 hours to which one must add 10 minutes for the approach and about 40 minutes from the point where the via ferrata ends to Chanavey, the starting point.
